What Goes Wrong Without a Care Plan

An unmaintained website fails quietly. Software falls out of date, the contact form stops sending, and the site goes down on the morning a customer is looking for you. We watch for those problems and fix them before they cost you work.

Security Handled

We apply security updates, keep your firewall and DDoS protection in place, and keep your SSL certificate current, so your site stays out of trouble and stays trusted.

Speed That Holds Up

We track Core Web Vitals, compress images, and tune caching, so your pages stay fast as the site grows.

Someone Who Answers

You email us and reach a developer who already knows your site. Every plan includes support time each month for fixes and small changes.

Care Plans for Custom-Coded Sites

The sites we build are custom coded, not assembled from themes and plugins. That changes what maintenance means: there is no plugin stack to update and no theme conflict waiting to break your contact form. Your plan hours go into security updates, monitoring, backups, and the edits you actually ask for.

Enterprise Care adds a staging environment, so larger changes run on a copy of your site before they touch the live one. If you are comparing us against WordPress maintenance plans, the honest difference is that a custom-coded site needs less rescue work in the first place.

Care Plan vs DIY vs an Agency Retainer

Maintaining the site yourself is a real option, and for some businesses it is the right one. Here is how the three routes compare so you can pick with your eyes open.

Website care plan compared with maintaining the site yourself and with a typical agency retainer
Doing it yourself A Claremont care plan A typical agency retainer
Monthly cost Nothing in cash. Your hours instead, plus tool subscriptions. $99 or $199, published on this page. Quoted case by case.
Who applies updates You, when you remember. We do, on a schedule, with testing afterward. Usually covered, though the scope varies by contract.
When the site drops at 9pm You find out when a customer tells you. Uptime monitoring alerts us and we start work. Depends on the support tier you bought.
Backups Whatever your host happens to keep. Automated, 30-day retention, restorable on request. Usually covered.
Small edits Yours to make. 1 hour a month on Professional Care, 3 hours on Enterprise Care. Billed against the retainer.
Commitment None. Month to month. Cancel any time. Often a fixed term.
Who you talk to Support forums. A developer who already knows your site. An account manager.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between website hosting and a website care plan?
Hosting is the space your website files sit on. A care plan is the work done to those files: updates, security patches, backups, and monitoring. Both of our care plans include hosting, so it arrives on one bill.
How much does a website care plan cost?
Professional Care is $99 a month and Enterprise Care is $199 a month. Both are billed monthly, and both include hosting, updates, backups, monitoring, and support time.
Do you maintain WordPress sites?
Our plans cover the custom-coded sites we build, which have no themes or plugins to babysit. We prefer building fresh for exactly that reason. If you are stuck with an existing WordPress site and need a hand, contact us and we will talk through it honestly.
What counts as a small change?
Text edits, image swaps, new pages, updated hours, and fixes to things that stopped working. A redesign or a new feature is a separate project, and we quote it before any work starts.
What happens if my site gets hacked?
We restore your site from the most recent clean backup, close the hole that let the attacker in, and handle blacklist removal with Google if your site was flagged.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your care plan at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
What happens if I use more than my included hours?
Additional hours beyond your plan are billed at a discounted overage rate. We tell you before any overage work begins, so the bill never surprises you.
Do I need a care plan if I just launched my website?
We recommend starting one on day one. A new site still needs security updates, monitoring, and backups, and the cheapest time to protect the investment is before anything has gone wrong.
Is there a contract or commitment?
Our care plans are month to month with no long-term commitment. You can cancel at any time, though we recommend keeping at least basic coverage for security and backups.

What Clients Say

Reviews written by business owners whose sites we build and look after.

“This has been a breath of fresh air. I have operated 6 different companies and have worked with many different website/SEO companies. Claremont has been the best overall by far. The ease of working with them, clear instructions on what my tasks are to help them perform for us, and overall performance is unmatched. I would recommend Claremont to anyone. By far the best I've worked with in a long time. However, if you are competing with any of my companies I'd prefer you don't use them because they're too good!”

T N

“I run a company in the aviation sector, and it's critical that we have no downtime since we may need to assist an airline or leasing company at any time of the day or night. Claremont Software has done an amazing job in maintaining our private cloud solutions, ensuring our uptime while also keeping our costs as low as possible. Every time we have had a question, or encountered an issue, Claremont has responded amazingly quickly, and has always solved the problem the first time around - this is fairly rare in my experience. I couldn't recommend Claremont more highly, and I'm sure we'll be working with them for years to come.”

Mark Hadding

“Working with Claremont has been one of the best decisions I've made for my business. From the beginning, they took the time to genuinely understand what I do and what I was struggling with online. It never felt like a cookie-cutter process—they asked the right questions, offered thoughtful guidance, and made me feel like my success actually mattered to them. The website they built for me is fast, clean, and clearly designed with conversions in mind. I've had multiple clients mention how easy it was to navigate and how professional everything looks. Their SEO work has made a real difference too; I'm seeing more traffic, better leads, and a noticeable bump in people finding me organically. What stood out most was how easy they were to work with. They're responsive, patient, and genuinely invested in helping service professionals shine online. If you want a team that blends technical skill with a personal, caring approach, I can't recommend Claremont Software LLC enough.”
